Hello people of Faith!
If you've been in church the past few weeks then you have seen all of the demonstrations that have been made to help get everyone on the app and registered for events.
Let's take a minute to really break down how this all is going to work.
Ideally, everyone will have access to the website and the app. However, we know that not everyone has a computer or a smartphone. You will not be left behind or left out if you do not have these tools. The church IPad will be there for your use on Sundays. Someone will be there to help you use it. We have a method created to accomodate everyone. Please do not let technology be the reason you miss an event. We are here to help you.
For the time being, every communication that you see on the app will also be available on the website. The only exceptions to that are the Prayer Wall, Sermon Notes, and Group Messaging, as those things are app specific and are not able to be put on the website. Event registrations, blog posts, sermons, upcoming events and announcements, those things will continue to be available on the website and the app.
If you do not have a smartphone, but you have a computer at home, you can access all those things here on our website: faithphx.org
If you have a smartphone, but have not yet downloaded our app, you can do so by texting APP to 877-894-5376. If you have an IPhone, your appstore may require your apple ID password to allow you to download apps.
On our app, you should make an account by tapping the three lines in the top left corner and tapping "Sign Up." This will allow you to get the most out of the app, though it does work without creating an account.
On the home screen of the app, the News section will highlight all of the newest feed from everywhere that we post anything- from blog posts, prayer requests, events, instagram posts, sermons, etc. The latest information will always be found there all in one place. The Events section will highlight just that- events. Recurring weekly events like the worship service, along with special events like the Harvest Supper. You will be able to find registrations for special events there as well. The Prayer Wall is exactly that, it's a current prayer list. Anyone with the app can submit a prayer request and it will be approved by admin and then shown on the app for all to see. You can comment on each other's requests and commit to pray for them as well. At this time, we do not plan on taking down old requests, so they will always be there to see the answers to prayer. The Give tab will link you straight to our online giving through the website where you can set up a recurring weekly gift, or give for special things. The Sermons tab is still being worked on, but eventually, all the past sermons will be available for viewing there.
We encourage you all to download the app and explore the rest for yourself, get involved in this process, and share in the excitement of moving towards being able to reach the next generation.
All questions regarding the app and website should be directed to Laura Lopez, and you can reach her at 484-756-0698. She is more than happy to help and wants you to know that there is no such thing as a silly question.
